Dr. Kathleen Carson

After graduating with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Dr. Carson attended the UCLA School of Dentistry. While there, she was presented with the Excellence in Restorative Dentistry Award and the Academy of General Dentistry Award. She earned her DDS honors in 2001, graduating cum laude, and served a general practice residency with the Veterans Administration in Sepulveda. Dr. Carson is married with four young children. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, running, and the outdoors.

Dr. Carson is a Los Angeles Area Cosmetic Dentist that has continued to refine her knowledge of dentistry through numerous continuing education programs, including programs at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the premier post-graduate educational center for cosmetic dentistry and neuromuscular dentistry. Dr. Carson has earned the prestigious title of “Fellow” in neuromuscular dentistry. Dr. Carson and her team continually take numerous continuing education programs to keep up to date with science, technology, and exceptional patient care. Dr. Tina Markiewicz

cristina markiewiczDr. Markiewicz, affectionately known as Dr. Tina, has been a lifelong resident of this area. Dr. Tina received her degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Departmental Honors from California Lutheran University in 2010. She completed her Masters in Business Administration from California Lutheran University in 2012 and went on to obtain her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

Dr. Tina states, “One of the most fulfilling things about being a dentist is combining art and science using my hands and mind to help create confidence and self-esteem in others. I love the one to one relationship that I have with my patients as we discuss a treatment plan that will provide them with the best possible dental care for a healthy mouth.”

Dr. Tina has a passion for helping others and has worked to benefit many local and global philanthropic organizations. She started the first American Cancer Society Relay For Life at California Lutheran University in 2011 and has continued to support their organization by volunteering for many of their events. Dr. Tina has helped the homeless population by working with the San Francisco Department of Health to organize University of the Pacific’s clinical component to treat their oral surgery needs at the Project Homeless Connect events. She also organized University of the Pacific’s Annual Give Kids A Smile events thereby helping hundreds of children get oral hygiene instruction, cleanings, and dental exams. Dr. Tina is a regular volunteer with the California Dental Association CDA Cares Events where thousands of underserved receive much needed dental care. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Westlake Junior Woman’s Club.

Aside from providing her patients with high-quality dental treatment and education, Dr. Tina’s interests include baking, cooking, and traveling. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
