Meet Our Exceptional Hygiene Department Team
All of our registered dental hygienists are extensively educated and trained to be the absolute best dentistry has to offer. They all work very closely together to ensure that no matter whom you see at a hygiene appointment, your treatment and care will be nothing short of the best.

Marquee | Registered Dental Hygienist
Marquee, one of our registered dental hygienists, has a gentle touch when it comes to cleaning your teeth. A University of Southern California graduate, she taught other dental hygienists at her alma mater before joining our practice. Marquee continues to refine her education at numerous dental institutions and programs, such as the JP Institute, Pride, Pankey, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and USC continuing education programs. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, playing golf and enjoying good food and wine.
- Carrie | Registered Dental Hygienist
Carrie, a graduate of Oxnard College Dental Hygiene program, is one of our registered dental hygienists. Carrie has her BA in Liberal Studies from Cal. State Northridge, Oral Surgery Assistant Certification, and AA in degree in Liberal Studies from Ventura College. Carrie has been happily married for 7 yrs and has one daughter who is 6 yrs old. Carrie enjoys reading, gardening and watching her daughter play sports on the weekends. Carrie truly enjoys her role as a hygienist in our practice.
- Carol | Registered Dental Hygienist
Carol is one of our registered dental hygienists. She may instruct you on better ways to clean your teeth as well as provide encouragement to anyone who wants to improve their dental health. After she graduated from the University of Southern California, she was a clinical instructor of dental hygiene at the institution's dental school before joining our practice. Carol is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. Carol continues to refine her education through numerous continuing education programs. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, gardening, traveling and snow skiing.
- Lori | Registered Dental Hygienist
Lori entered the dental profession in 1981 as a registered Dental Assistant. While completing her dental hygiene degree she benefited from the clinical training at U.C.L.A, VA Wadsworth and Long Beach. Lori has enjoyed holding the positions of both President and trustee of the Ventura Co. Dental Hygiene Society. She was honored with the “Outstanding Component Member” award in 1991. As part of the Westlake Dental Arts Team “I enjoy being able to care for my patients according to the highest standards for the profession today”. In addition our on-going continuing education has been phenomenal. When not taking care of patients she will be found having fun with friends and family, gardening, spinning, Pilates and reading.
Meet Our Exceptional Patient Care Team
All of our dental team members are extensively cross-trained. Everyone continually refines their dental knowledge through numerous continuing education programs. You may encounter any of our four patient care assistants in the front office, answering the phone, providing chairside dental care, or helping you with a variety of services or questions. Rest assured that everyone will help to take excellent care of any of your needs.

- Jenny & Maria
You may see a lot of Jenny & Maria around our office. They take care of every need while you are in the office, from scheduling, insurance, and billing to all manner of chair side patient care. If you are new to our office, Jenny or Maria will walk you through your new patient experience with us. They will make sure that you are comfortable throughout your appointment and all of your questions are answered. Their numerous years of dental experience and multiple areas of training allow Jenny and Maria to help you with any part of your dental visit.

Jenny became a registered and certified dental assistant in 1981. After hours, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family as well as hiking, reading and fishing.
- Maria
Maria earned an associates of arts degree at El Camino College, is a registered dental assistant, and a licensed phlebotomist. Maria enjoys hiking, water skiing, snowboarding, softball, and Texas Hold 'em poker. Friends and family are an important part of her life.
- Theresa
Theresa is most often found in the front office. She often helps with the behind the scenes scheduling, insurance, and any other business matters. You may also find Theresa in the back office, assisting in hygiene and helping with various needs during your appointment. She joined Westlake Dental Arts in 2002 and enjoys working with everyone on our team. After hours, Theresa loves camping, water skiing and boating.
- Rylea
Rylea will likely be the first person you see when you walk in our office. She is our newest team member, being with us since the end of 2007. She is that friendly voice you hear on the other end of the phone to confirm and remind you of your next appointments. Rylea may also help you with many in office needs, including scheduling, radiographs, chair side assisting, impressions, in office zoom bleaching, and invisalign. She is very excited to be a part of such a fantastic team and can't wait to continue learning about all dentistry has to offer. Rylea loves adventure and the great outdoors. After hours she enjoys hiking with her dog Stella, snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, and going to local concerts.
