Smile Makeover Results

Cosmetic Smile Makeovers

With a Smile Makeover, we can use our cosmetic services to help you have a unique and dazzling smile. A smile makeover is the complete and total transformation of your smile using any (or all!) of the techniques described in the cosmetic dentistry sections of the website.
During your first session, we look at your current smile, carefully noting the shape of your smile, the size, the smile line, and other unique aspects. We'll take pictures of your smile and discuss your likes and dislikes about your current smile. From there, we'll create an image of your new smile using our digital imaging system. We'll review the results with you and talk about the services we can provide. Depending on your specific needs, in as little as two appointments or over several visits, we can take your smile from dull to absolutely dazzling!

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

It sounds just as wonderful as it is: A complete restoration, rejuvenation and rehabilitation of your mouth. And in the end, you have a beautiful smile, a healthy bite and a renewed feeling of confidence.

When a person's jaw is not aligned correctly, his or her bite may not be in its most healthy, optimal position. This is known as malocclusion. As a result, teeth can wear down unevenly, chip or break. Even older restorations, including fillings and caps, can be damaged. Worse, malocclusion can cause a variety of annoying and painful problems, from headaches to discomfort when chewing.

The result is an unattractive smile that adds years to your appearance, decreases your self-esteem, affects your overall wellness and nutrition and causes you to experience other health issues.

What is meant by "full-mouth rehabilitation?"

Full-mouth rehabilitation, also known as reconstruction, restoration or rejuvenation, blends the science of neuromuscular dentistry with the artistry of aesthetic dentistry to create smiles that are functionally sound, physically healthy and visually appealing.

Combining the two disciplines, we can completely rehabilitate your mouth, correcting the bite and aesthetically enhancing your teeth.

Am I a candidate for full-mouth rehabilitation?

You are a candidate for a full-mouth rehabilitation if you experience pain or numbness in your jaw, neck, back or arm; have stuffiness or congestion in your sinuses and ears; or have missing or chipped teeth. For a full list of possible symptoms for which full-mouth rehabilitation may help and for more information, please see the information on Neuromuscular Dentistry in this package.

What is involved in a full-mouth rehabilitation?

Neuromuscular dentistry is the first step in a full-mouth rehabilitation. You will have a K7 analysis to determine if there is abnormal muscle activity that results in malocclusion. If so, steps to align your jaw will follow. Those may include wearing an orthotic or adjusting the bite through the application of dental restorations.

If an orthotic is necessary, you will return on a regular basis for adjustments. We will begin the aesthetic portion of the procedure once your bite has been corrected.

You will have a preparation appointment and a seating appointment. During the preparation appointment, we will remove all your old restorations and any decay that has occurred. Then, impressions of the underlying healthy tooth structure will be taken and temporary restorations made. These temporaries are worn until the final appointment when your temporaries are removed and the final restorations are put in place, creating a gorgeous, rehabilitated smile that's straight, white and healthy!

What can I expect following my full-mouth rehabilitation?

In our experience, smile makeovers are not only changing appearances but also are changing lives.

When complete, you can expect to have a pain-free, healthy bite. If your bite had caused problematic symptoms, such as headaches or tingling in fingers, you can expect a significant alleviation or complete cessation of the pain. The shape of your face may change as well, becoming more slender and defined.

Your smile will be greatly enhanced to a straight, white and even result. Based on the reactions of other patients, you can expect to feel more confident, self-assured and attractive. Most of our guests say that they look younger and feel happier than they have in years.
